Dr. Brett W. Clasquin attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Logan College of Chiropractic and earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Clasquin attends various conferences regularly as well as other post graduate education to stay up to date to better serve his patients.
Dr. Clasquin has been in private practice since January 1996 right here in Smithton. He is active in the community and volunteers time and funds to various community programs.
Dr. Clasquin has advanced training in extremity adjusting and whole food nutritional therapy. He spends quality time with the patient one on one. This approach allows him to focus on you and your overall health so that you and your family receive the best possible care. He adjusts mainly by hand (Diversified technique) and occasionally by instrument (Activator technique) along with muscle/trigger point therapy before the adjustment. We make sure you are comfortable and understand the procedure and the goal of the treatment and take the time to answer any questions you may have.
We treat people of all ages from days old
to as old as 101.
To the left is what commonly walks into our office. This diagram shows how a person, without pain most of the time, can have poor posture and never know it. As a chiropractor, we are trained to see this and identify the cause of the problem. Notice that the left foot arch pronates or rotates in causing the upper and lower leg bones to follow. This drops the pelvis on that side and can cause the spine to rotate and compensate all the way up to the shoulders and neck.
Chiropractic adjustments along with custom-made foot orthotics can balance this persons spine correcting the problem from the ground up. Having this balance is important to prevent the set-up of long term conditions such as knee, hip, or spine arthritic degeneration.
Chiropractic is very much about prevention and wellness, but also helps alleviate pain in a safe and natural way.
